Daniel Walsh
Owner and licensed insurance broker
Danny opened East Neck Insurance on Great East Neck Road in 2019 to give his neighbors in the Town of Babylon a real alternative to the 800 number: an independent agency that shops your coverage across carriers and treats every policy like it is his own. With many years in the insurance and financial industries, he built the agency on service and on giving back. When the pandemic hit in 2020, he and three friends turned the office into a free market for seniors in need.
In the community
When the supermarkets had lines around the block, the office became a free market for seniors.
In March 2020 Danny and three fellow Babylon business owners raised about $10,000 in a few days, bought supplies wholesale and handed them out from 421 Great East Neck Road, with curbside pickup and delivery for anyone who could not come in.
